Be Learning Films work, Website, Design by Balsarini

Be Learning Films is a gorgeous film production company located at Fox Studios, Sydney. It produces high quality corporate films and documentaries and e learning - large and small, with clients including Woolworths, coates, Westpac and Integral. Funny and very entertaining, their films are well-acted, superbly written and focus on engaging the target audience in the message without using corporate speak. They are so good at what they do they won the Silver World Medal 2008 at the New York Festivals. Our role was to design and develop their branding which included creating the bird character. Design by Balsarini produced an animation featuring the bird which now plays ahead of their films, as well as developing the Be Learning Films website, designed to fit into their existing (Be Learning) site.

Interface Developer, Telstra Kiosks. Developed for the Telstra concept store at 400 George Street, Sydney. This was an amazing project to work on, we worked long hours, from early in the morning till late at night over several weeks to get it ready for the fast-approaching launch date. An extensive CMS was built from scratch in one month. The great look was created by the talented Richard Bradley.

As websites go you cant get much smaller than this! My client wanted an online payment facility available for his clients. Since the design was to replace a plain blue page with pixelated type, I started the project with one thing in my mind...

The picture of Mary MacKillop, Australia's first saint, was sourced online and heavily photoshopped - in fact, the left side of her face is now on her right! The design was being used for the front of a brochure and was also printed on canvas for use as a backdrop.

This large site comprised of 124 pages, which included two restricted member-only areas plus discussion rooms (mySQL/php). Apart from the coding (Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, Javascript & PHP) and design (including Flash) I sourced all images. It was a gorgeous site wen done with an ease of navigation and great look, but has now been modified, losing the look as well as some of the functions which made it so great (a javascript drop-down menue on the welcome screen has been deleted, new blocks of colour introduced, new fonts introduced etc).

Sandtastic website and shop. Sandtastic is a sand based art which kids really enjoy. Simone, Sandtastics owner is often out and about at schools, shopping centres and fares round Sydney, and the Sandtastic tent is always crowded with kids. This website incorporates a simple shopping cart coded in html and javascript.
